Productivity When There's a Lot on Your Plate

I have big plans for 2023. Reset ADHD will be moving forward with several projects in the months to come. It is an exciting time for me, but it is also kind of difficult. With so many projects to balance, it can be hard to plan my time and stay moving forward on all of my goals. If you are like me, you have a lot of things you would like to do but are unsure of how it will all get done. I thought I would share what I am doing to stay productive during this busy time in the hopes it will help you to stay productive.

Clarity

I know one problem that sometimes holds me back is a lack of clarity with my goals. My vision needs to be fleshed out before I can take action. One thing I am doing is working on my vision before I start diving into these projects. I want to know what I am doing before I start doing it. I even find that, if I don’t have clarity, it is dang near impossible to get started. By getting clear on my objectives, I create an opportunity for me to actually do the things I say I am going to do.

Support Team

I am doing these projects by myself; I am the one putting in the work. However, that does not mean I am alone. On the contrary, I have a support team. One member of my support team is my coach. He knows what questions to ask to nudge me towards clarity and productivity. Additionally, I have a mastermind group that gives me pointers and helps me stay accountable. Moreover, I know other people who have done the things I want to do with my business. I can reach out to them if I get stuck. If I did not have these people in my life, I would be struggling to swim in a rough ocean of ambition. However, with these people in my life, I can move forward knowing that, if I start to drown, there is someone there to throw me a life preserver.

Scheduling

As I have mentioned in previous blog posts, if I don’t schedule things, they don’t happen. So, I am trying to put on my weekly to-do list what days I am going to be working on these projects. I am still refining what time I have available in my calendar for these projects, but I am determined to come up with a plan that will work or will help me learn what does not work.

My Way

Lastly, I am finding my own way of doing these projects. All of the stuff above is a good foundation, but if I want to make these projects special, I have to do it my way. If I create the things I want to create the way everyone else does, there will be nothing unique about these projects. They will not add the spice to my business that I want them to add. I will be experimenting with different working environments and ways of working. I am determined to do this my way.

I leave you with this thought: What is YOUR way? How can you take all the things on your plate and do them in a way that aligns with your brain’s natural way of working?
