Hey there!

I’M ALEX.

I’m the creator of Reset ADHD, which sprung from my own rollercoaster ride through life, learning that sometimes, we all need a fresh start. It's about letting go of yesterday's script and writing a new one that truly reflects who we want to be moving forward. At the end of the day, you are the main character in your own story and, the plot can change anytime you feel called to shift course.
It all begins with a reset.

Growing up, I was that shy kid in the corner, always morphing into whoever I thought others wanted me to be. A chameleon, essentially. It took me a long journey, filled with ups and downs, to realize that being true to myself was the only way to connect genuinely with others. One of the biggest challenges in life is figuring out who YOU uniquely are, especially when you have ADHD. Reset ADHD is my way of sharing that journey with you as well as trying to support that journey for others.

At its heart, Reset ADHD is about finding support — whether it be a course or workbook on a topic you’re trying to tackle, written material for inspiration, or a community that gets it. It's about shedding the weight of who we're supposed to be and embracing the depths of our real selves. It's a space where being different isn't just okay, it's celebrated.

Where am I now? Literally speaking, I am in Sioux Falls, SD where I live with my dog, Ace. I named my dog after the comic book character, Ace the Bat-Hound. Batman is my favorite fictional character, so it seemed appropriate to name him after Batman’s dog. My second favorite fictional character is Sherlock Holmes. I even wrote a blog on ‘What ADHD-ers Can Learn from Sherlock Holmes’. This speaks to my natural curiosity and my desire to solve mysteries, like the mystery of who I am. Anywho, where am I figuratively? I am in a place of transition. I am moving from what I thought others wanted of me to what I want to be. I want to be free of the expectations of others. I hope that comes through in Reset ADHD’s content. We strive to be as unique as possible because who I am is unique, just as who you are is unique.

Reset ADHD is our shared adventure into understanding the unique puzzle pieces that make us who we are. It's about peeling back the layers and embracing the complexity of our identities, ADHD quirks and all.

So, why not join us? Dive into the Reset ADHD world where we celebrate each discovery, support every challenge, and laugh through the journey. Together, let's explore what makes us uniquely us, and how we can navigate this wild ride called life with ADHD and community by our side. Welcome to the Reset ADHD family—let's make this journey an unforgettable one.

MEET ACE
Director of Tennis Balls

Ace was born August 25, 2018 and is an Alaskan klee kai. He is pleased to join Reset ADHD as Director of Tennis Balls because he loves tennis balls. Ace is especially fond of tearing the fuzz off of the tennis balls. When not destroying tennis balls, Ace enjoys playing with his cousin Kevin, chewing on whatever Alex lets him chew on, and going outside.
