Last week, I blogged about when to hit the reset button. This week, I am writing about the benefits of doing so. This is not an exhaustive list. There are plenty more benefits of a reset than just the ones listed here.

1.) A Fresh Start

The most obvious benefit of a reset is a fresh start. Things can get stale if you work at them for too long. Pausing and hitting the reset button allows you a fresh start. You can approach what you are working on with a new perspective and can have a better chance of success.

2.) Peace

Taking a pause to reset, especially when stressed, can bring peace. When life gets hectic and you take the time to pause, breathe, and reset, you open up the door to peace. Life becomes easier to endure, and you do not have to struggle through a stressful situation.

3.) A Chance to Use Your Strengths

By hitting the reset button, you give yourself a new start. With that new start comes the opportunity to use new strategies. These strategies are more likely to be successful if you use your strengths. Instead of relying on an area of weakness, you build on a strength, a much more firm foundation.

4.) Productivity Boost

You are more productive when you take the time for a reset. By pausing to reset, you give yourself a chance to be more productive. The fresh start releases you from the old ways that have stalled. The reset opens you up to new, more productive possibilities.

5.) Energy Boost

Spinning your wheels and getting nowhere with the task at hand will drain your energy. However, taking the time to pause and hit reset will give you more energy. The fresh start makes you excited about getting back to the task at hand. Adrenaline will start pumping, and you will be ready to go.
