The Importance of Celebrating Your Wins

Whether you realize it or not, you are a winner. The definition of a winner is “one who wins.” You win all the time. You may not realize it, however, but it does happen. It is important to recognize and celebrate your wins, especially when you have ADHD.

Positivity

Sometimes, life with ADHD can be rough. It can be easy to get down on oneself because of the challenges of ADHD. However, giving in to that temptation will only bring you down. Life will become unbearable. If you would like to enjoy your life, start noticing and celebrating your wins. Winning feels good. The more you celebrate your wins, the more good feelings you will have in your life. Life will become more enjoyable.

Momentum

By celebrating your wins, you will feel more inspired to get back out there and keep winning. In short, it builds momentum. Once you start winning, it becomes easier to win. Soon, you will be winning so much more. Winning will become a habit.

Track Your Wins

To aid the celebrations of your wins, keep track of your wins. You cannot celebrate a win you do not acknowledge. Keep a list of all the things you have done that are wins. A mental list is fine, but a physical list gives you a visual of how long your list of wins is. Trust me. You will enjoy tracking your wins.

Wins Do Not Have to Be Huge

Wins do not have to be grand achievements. Any tiny success is a win. Do not discount a win because of how little it seems. Any win is a win. Did you do a chore you hate doing? That is a win. Did you improve your test score from one exam to the next? That’s a win. Did you wake up this morning? That is a win.

Struggling to Notice Your Wins?

Sometimes, it can be hard to notice your wins. If you find noticing your wins to be difficult, seek an outside opinion. A friend can help you see where you are winning. One of the best individuals to help you notice a win is a well-trained coach. A coach knows the ins and outs of helping people work with their brain, not against it. They can help you see where you are already winning in your life and how you can win even more.
