The Awesomeness of r/ADHD

I have written previously on the importance of connecting with other ADHDers. Today, I would like to write to you about a unique way to connect with other ADHDers.

Support

Need someone to encourage you? Need someone to celebrate your wins with you? r/ADHD can help. ADHDers love seeing their fellow ADHDers succeed.

Sympathy

The ADHD struggle is real. When the ADHD gets to you, those on r/ADHD will be there to sympathize with you. You can share your struggles with them, and they will be there for you.

Advice

If you are stuck and need help with something ADHD-related, your fellow redditors are there to help you. They understand what it is like to struggle with ADHD. Their experience can help you.

I Do That Too!

We ADHDers are quirky people. It can be hard to know what is ADHD and what is just weird. It’s not uncommon for a “Does anyone else do this?” post to appear on r/ADHD. Quite often, the replies take the form of “YES! I never thought about that being an ADHD thing, but now I think it might be.” Saying “I thought I was the only one,” is often accompanied by a sense of relief. It is so comforting to know you are not alone

Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.’
— C.S. Lewis

Venting

Sometimes, life with ADHD gets to you and you just need to vent. r/ADHD can help with that. You’ll always find someone ready to listen.
